The Zero Point Experience — a five-day somatic healing intensive

How deep would you allow yourself to go?

If you are ready to go deep, brave the intensity of your own shadow, and embrace the healing journey to re-discover your gold — this is for you.

Our "self" is an entire world inside of us. A lifetime of experiences, molded into our very physicality — our feelings, beliefs, patterns. The body is the final recording of it all.

"Where is this in my body?" — that is our meditative inquiry. And the therapeutic tools that aid it are anything that causes us to feel deeper, so we can see ourselves without blind spots, avoidance, or distortion.

Hands gently holding a client's face — the tenderness of the container

Care that does not exist anywhere else

There is no menu here, and no protocol. The instrument of this work is perception itself — fifteen years of hands trained to read what a body is holding, what it is ready to release, and precisely when. Technique can be taught. The timing of a threshold cannot — it can only be felt, in the moment, by someone built for exactly that.

This is why the intensive is one-of-one, and why people travel across the country for it: what happens on this table is not a treatment sequence. It is an initiation — crossed at the pace your body chooses, with a practitioner holding the door.

You arrive as the person who has been carrying it.
You leave as the person who set it down.

I hold roughly one container each month — twelve a year, ever. The rest of my practice orbits this room: it is the truest expression of my work, and I protect it accordingly — by application, by conversation, and by fit.

Undoing what has been done

When we go through what we cannot fully process, parts of us get stuck in fight, flight, or freeze. Inflammation follows, the body protects itself — and we quite literally harden. Not just muscle: the entire fascial network that joins every tissue, from bone to nerve to brain.

That hardened fascia becomes the ropes that bind us to the past — in the body, in the sense of self, in thought — carrying on long after the events that caused it. Even without a single "traumatic event," the accumulation of unprocessed stress is what shows up as disorder and chaos in the body.

Just as we cannot see our own shadow, we cannot feel the parts of us that are disconnected from awareness — until they are touched by someone skilled, or until life forces the reckoning. These stuck emotions become beliefs, the beliefs become behaviors, and the behaviors become an identity that quietly limits everything we're reaching for.

Seated craniosacral hold — a client in deep rest

Three approaches, one goal

The modalities that have created the deepest somatic experience for myself and others — the most depth of sensation, the most connection with self, the most lasting change.

Myofascial Release

Slow, sustained work with the fascial web itself. Trauma, inflammation, and injury create restrictions that can press on pain-sensitive structures with up to 2,000 pounds of force — invisible to standard tests. Where traditional therapy treats the symptoms of that pressure, myofascial release works the restriction itself, which is why the results last.

And there is a deeper layer: the fascia's mechanoreceptors deliver our capacity for interoception — the felt sense of the body from within, where embodiment actually lives. Most people chase the nociceptors: the good-hurt of pain feedback that feels productive but changes nothing. The real work is learning to feel the more subtle space between the dark spots — the places where you've disconnected from yourself.

CranioSacral Therapy

A gentle, hands-on approach to the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Clients drop into a deep, REM-like state akin to meditative trance — an opening from within, rather than a manipulation from outside.

This deep state takes the sensations of the body and opens access to
the non-conscious — a term coined by Dr. John Upledger, distinct from the psychological frames of unconscious or subconscious — and in this meditative depth it is different for everyone. Colors, shapes, sensations, words, tastes, memories: all fair game as we translate the silent language of the body. There's no need to go to the jungle for ayahuasca — I can show you how those same layers of perception are willing to open and communicate with you, activated by awareness and sensation.

Somatic Dialogue

The crescendo. When the tissue is warmed, supple, vibrating, transmitting — and the cranial work has carried us down into the deeper brainwaves — the session becomes a facilitated, body-led journey. This is where we gain the ability to feel the places most hidden behind our blinders, and safely cross the threshold. Tissue memory releases, often with insight into how the held experience has been shaping physical and emotional life.

These catharses are never something that can be forced — we only lay the groundwork, hold the container, and follow the pace of your own body's readiness. Some experience big cathartic releases: crying, screaming, strong emotion, past traumas surfacing. For others it is a quiet knowing — a release that just needed the right attention and awareness held, so it could finally let go. There is a tendency to picture what "healing looks like," especially in the age of social media. I encourage you to drop expectations in preference of setting intentions: that what is right for you is what will surface — and that it appears in the order, and at the rate, your body knows is best.

The container, at a glance

Five days, one person

The intensive is 1-on-1. A container dedicated solely to your process — no group itinerary, no schedule but yours.

4.5 hours of bodywork daily

Guaranteed hands-on time each day, shaped around what your body needs — with the space between sessions for the work to unfold.

Weaverville, North Carolina

Ten minutes north of Asheville. Stay in the mountains, close to nature — plan an extra day or two for integration.

Deep instead of wide

Most retreats offer an itinerary of experiences. This is the opposite: one relationship, one process, moving slowly and without forcing — this is the way.

Your day, your shape: 2.25 hours morning · integrate mid-day · 2.25 hours afternoon — or 4.5 hours in the morning with the day to integrate — or sleep in, and work in the afternoon. I'm here for your process.

Before, and after

The preparation

Once your dates are held, I connect with you in advance to begin your preparation practices — readying yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually, so you arrive at the container already in motion.

The integration

The intensive is an awakening to subtle somatic skills you carry home. Most people try to stack somatic practices without the experience or frameworks to anchor them — and arrive at these places only by accident. This container shows you what it looks like when every lens focuses on the same thing at once — and you leave with a renewed understanding of what your own practice can do to take you back to these places of opening and release.

Questions, answered

What is somatic bodywork, and how does it work?
"Somatic" describes an approach, not a technique: using the sensation of the treatment as a deep self-inquiry tool. It is manual therapy — hands on the body — but far more than tissue manipulation. We work alongside the nervous system and the fascia to create states of deepened self-awareness, and may include therapeutic dialogue: a conversation between the conscious mind and the sub-conscious body.
What makes this different from other retreats or bodywork?
Hourly sessions a few times a month make slow-to-medium progress; a week-long container sets the stage for massive change. And unlike retreats built on an itinerary of group experiences, this is deep instead of wide — 1-on-1 therapeutic sessions with a skilled practitioner, with enough continuous time for old patterns to actually move before daily life returns.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Some first-timers are simply ready to take the leap — I was. Others have specific health needs that slow the pace without diminishing the benefit. And if you've been "doing all the things" — yoga, breathwork, bodywork, meditation, retreats — this is your chance to go deep, organically, through the vehicle of your own body. If you're unsure, reach out and we'll talk it through.
What results can I expect?
No specific outcome can be forced or guaranteed — this work puts people in the state of awareness that allows deeper release to occur. Even after one session of this nature, people report: deeper connection to themselves, relief from pain and restriction, tranquility and peace of mind, improved response to stress, renewed clarity of purpose, the feeling that "the weight is gone," heightened sensory awareness, and at times the recovery and release of long-held memories.
What comes up during this work?
One can never know if, what, or when memory will surface — for some, deep emotional release; for others, simply profound rest. Please be kind to yourself, prepare intentionally, and find appropriate additional support for your journey. I hold an extremely clean frame: you are in control of the session at all times, and your pace is the pace.
What about dates, investment, and payment?
Dates and investment are discussed on your call — the container is limited to roughly one intensive per month, and I hold your requested week with a deposit. All sales are final: this policy reflects an earnest desire for you to commit fully to walking through this portal of change. Extreme circumstances may be rescheduled at my discretion.
What should I bring and wear?
Plenty of water for each session. Athletic or swim wear that provides comfort and modesty while allowing hand-to-skin contact — craniosacral work can be received fully clothed, and accommodations are always available; just note your needs in your application.
What if I can't travel — will you come to me?
On a limited, case-by-case basis I arrange travel a few times per year, at a significantly higher rate, paid in full. If that's your preference, note it in your application and we'll discuss options.

It's possible to overcome your limitations. I've dedicated my life to it — and if you are one of the ones I've been waiting for, I look forward to serving you.

Your application opens a 40-minute call — dates & investment discussed there.
